Diagnostic Evaluation

Get expert, well-rounded answers to your biggest questions and concerns

At Wildflower Pediatric Psychology, our assessments are thorough, evidence-based, and tailored to each child’s unique needs. Whether seeking clarity on specific behavioral challenges or an answer for more global diagnostic questions, our process is designed to provide meaningful insights and actionable next steps.

Diagnostic Evaluation

A Diagnostic Evaluation helps determine whether a child meets criteria for conditions such as autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental disorders/differences, and/or certain emotional-behavioral challenges.

Common Concerns our Diagnostic Evaluations Can Address:

  • Does my child have autism, ADHD, or another diagnosis?

  • Something seems different, but I don’t know what it is.

  • My child was previously evaluated, but I question the results.

  • If we get a diagnosis, we will also need personalized next steps, not just generic recommendations.

What to Expect from a Diagnostic Evaluation:

  • Strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming assessment.

  • Evidence-based interviews, standardized testing, and direct observations.

  • A detailed, individualized report with recommendations specific to your child.

  • Guidance on appropriate services, school accommodations, and therapy options.

  • Balanced discussion of medical vs. social models of disability, and how therapy and other supports fit within each
