Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)

A Functional Behavior Assessment helps uncover the reasons behind challenging behaviors, offering individualized strategies to support positive change.

Common Concerns an FBA Can Address:

  • Why is my child having frequent tantrums?

  • My child engages in self-injury or aggressive behavior, and we don’t know how to help.

  • Nothing we’ve tried is working anymore.

  • My child is highly defiant, and I need guidance that works for our family.

What to Expect from an FBA at Wildflower:

  • Strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach.

  • Identification of environmental factors contributing to behaviors.

  • A detailed, individualized report with evidence-based recommendations.

  • Support with communicating results to schools, therapists, and other stakeholders.

  • Option for second opinions on prior FBA results and treatment recommendations.
